Well, you’re not alone. Every year millions of Americans decide to replace their old computer with a new one. The excitement and anxiousness that people feel when shopping for a new model PC is well known. The new bells and whistles, the latest in wireless technology, internal or external webcam are all features of the PC that get people excited.

But what to do with your old PC?  If you are on this page, then presumably you have already given it some thought. At this point, you basically have two options: Recycle or Dispose your computer.

On this page, we’ll discuss the Recycle option. Recycling is an all encompassing word, which includes the notion of directly donating entire system to a needy individual or organization. It also includes the option of returning the computer to a recycler who may refurbish with new parts and software and then he may resell or donate. Lastly, it could include reselling the computers to others via a service like craigslist.org or ebay.
